I am finally going to order my Mustang GT this Saturday! Since I want IUP I know there may be a long wait ahead of me. Is there anything else I should know before going into the dealership?

 

Ask for them to give you, your DORA the day after you order it. Wait should be 6-8 weeks?

 

Wow Altoid: Looking at the description of your car, that is exactly what I will be ordering including the base stereo. I would be interested in some pics when you get it and checking out your system installation when you begin it. Keep me updated!

 

Congrats & welcome to the board. Also, I suggest you get a couple of Hobbies like putting together 5000 piece puzzles or something. Because more than likely you are in for a long wait & it can really wear on you nerves.

Seriously though, like Altoid stated ask for a DORA & make sure you don't get screwed on the price. Also. PLEASE get everything in writing, don't just take their word for it. Other than that just sit back, relax, pull out a parts catalog f mods & enjoy the wait.

Make sure you check with several dealerships. I'm in MA and found a dealer that had what I wanted on order already. Also, some dealers seem to get more cars than others. I would have liked to go with my local guy but he said he wouldn't have it till late summer (at least he was honest). Another dealer told me he could have anything I wanted in a few days... Yeah! So, just be careful and good luck!!
