Ghay! My E-Brake cable broke and I need to buy a whole assembly.

This has me evaluating, because when I park, I yank the hell out of my ebrake.

I shift into gear and use the e-brake together when I park. I figure if the shifter somehow pops out, the e-brake will serve as backup.

I've never been to San Francisco, but I have a feeling that an automatic is probably most preferred in those type of driving conditions.
