I was scheduled to have mine done on Friday, and then they called me and said they had to order the parts (contradictory to what they told me when I scheduled). Anyway, they said it would be about 2 weeks and they would call me. They said they have to do the same procedure for one of their service techs that bought a GT as well..........

Had mine fixed six weeks ago, and very happy with the fix. Sound went away forever, and the ride is a little smoother.

I had my strut bolts done Monday and it's real quiet now. I also got a new gas tank too. All were covered under warranty. I would suggest that you tell them to order the parts for both then have it done at the same time. The tank didn't take anytime at all and while it was in there they did the struts too.

Does this popping sound occur only on turns or does it occur on bumpy pavement. When i go over bumps there is a "popping" sound coming from the front end and it sounds like the struts are loose. Could this be the same problem?

Not to diminish your issues, but I'm glad my 06 will have all of these issues fixed on it. Of course you know how it goes, in the process of fixing these issues, they'll create other issues!

Well, I would get the popping noise when ever I was driving slow and approached a stop, when I made turns at an intersection, when I backed out of the parking lot, and when I went over speed bumps. All four of these noises went away after ths front struts were replaced.

The repair should no longer than one day, drop it off in the morning, should be ready in the afternoon.

Had mine fixed last Monday. Popping is gone and the front end feels tighter, smoother and seems to track better. It takes less than a day. I brought mine in that morning and had it back that afternoon.

I remember reading another post and the actual work should take less than hour. The TSB gives it 1.5 hours so 45 minutes is realistic.
I'm waiting for parts.
