I have the XM Roady and love it! I use it all day in my Police cruiser and then transfer it to my Stang. In addition, i use it in my friends SUV when we go to the New Hampshire mountains skiing or snowmobiling. It's the best way to go without paying multiple subscriptions and it takes little space.

funny enough, just about every 04 premium stereo from Ford is Sirius ready.

You wonder how the car that just came out and is taking you forward 5-10 years would not have this feature. It is almost like introducing it with a cassette and no CD. What were they thinking?

possibly that Delpi works with XM for equipment with GM and Ford works with Sirius. Just a hunch though.

Yes Ford is Sirius but why did it not come sirius compatable. The Tbird wasn't in 02 but in 03 was. Then the harness would not fit so you could not update. That was a mistake made in 2002 why repeat it again? Didn't anyone learn??? Are you listening in engineering? Glad we didn't get an 8 track. Although I do have about 50 8 tracks. If they ever come back I'm ready. "Boogie shoes"!

It would really be nice if Ford started a program like Chrysler with FACTORY installed radios and a 1 year paid subscription. It is really a shame to have to spend $500/$600 on a DEALER install (including labor) and then still have to pick up the tab for the first year subscription.

I could understand Ford dragging their feet if they thought there would be dual-capability receivers out soon (which can get XM or Sirius at the flip of a switch) so the consumer would only have to choose a service instead of hardware too - but it seems those units are many years away from production.

Sirius was hardly a blip on the screen in 02

I discovered the PERFECT solution to all those that want a satallite radio in their 05 stang!! Firstly, FMC does not equip the car with the unit, nor is it any more adaptable than any other old styled radio.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO..............accept the stock radio at NC, then buy the satallite radio that FMC simply must make soon available...............must because every new car, less the Stang, is already offering them. This will also force FMC to convert sooner than later to this new format radio. Trust me, it's like going from AM to FM, window ventilation to AC,etc............everyone loves it, and if you choose not to subscribe for ~$11/mo, you don't have to, or do so in the future. The current alternative is to stick an UGLY satallite tuner with velcro to your dash. For $660 or whatever for a Shaker 500 you should be able to buy the radio and pop it in. Plus, aftermarket upgraded speakers are nearlly always superior to OEM upgraded speakers.......................all this seems like a no brainer............only have to wait maybe 1 yr at most for the Satallite ready radio!!!
How do you know that the stereo is not sirius compatible? Do you have type of proof whatsoever?

Shhhh.......
You might get accused of having an ugly stick on unit . Don't tell!! The roadies are cute, I have one in the other car- Its red.

GM owns part of XM with CC(ugh) and Honda. Hence- xm being available in those cars from the get go.

Im sure it would say it in the order guide or owners manual. The F-series uses the same radio and none of them are sirius ready. The existing "mach"(or 'audiophile' on non-mustangs) style 6 cd IS sirius ready.
