Ummm...the Mustang GT is an awesome car, but it's no Corvette. Something is amiss. Perhaps some our local fanboys snuck across the pond looking for journalist work.

I wouldn't turn down a vette any day of the week, but do you really think when you look at the value side of the mustang gt vs. the vette, it would lead to some points towards the mustang.

 

If you're talking pure performance without regard to price, you're right. If you bring price into the equation, the Mustang is a more desirable choice. According to the article, there's nearly a 30K euro difference between the Vette and Stang.

 

The above reflects what I was thinking, money aside comparos are just not realistic and this magazine obviously took money into account as it should have.

Do I like the Vette? Yes. Do I like the Vette 15 thousand dollars more than the Mustang GT? No.

 

More like $20,000 more for the Vette!!

 

my wife and I were going to get a silver c6 vette-awsome car indeed!!But,when we gave it some thought we decided to look at the '05 GT when our dealer got his first 2 in.We both fell in love with the stang and walked away with 2 for the price of one vette.Maybe not in the same performance league,but I think a bit more fun having one.

 

The Mustang won as an overall car, including value, I'm sure. A vette is a great sport's car, but it's hard to say that it's a good value. When the '05/'06 Mustang Cobra comes out, you'll be able to buy a car that will be able to beat the '05 Vette and for ten grand less.
