My car is definitly having the problem where the fuel guage goes from full to empty, and then the check engine light is on. It's been this way for about 2 weeks now. I've taken it to the dealer and they told me to use Chevron Techron...well it didnt do anything  . So I take it back and all the dealer can tell me is that there is no fix for this right now, and I just have to wait for Ford to come out with a fix . Now my question is Is the dealer giving me a load of crap? or is this really true? I Know others have had this problem so how did you all fix it?

The dealer is giving you the run around. My 2005 V6 did the same thing and I tried 2 treatments of Techron. Didn't solve the problem. Took the car to the dealer and they replaced the sending unit. Has been fine ever since. If the dealer won't fix it, it's time to go over their heads - here is the link to the Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center - http://www.fordvehicles.com/help/contact/

OK well it looks like I'm going back to the dealer and I'm going to insist that they replace my sending unit. Thanks for the info!
