You know what I meant. When most people think Dodge, they think Neon, Magnum, Ram. Pretty basic transportation. But the Viper's a completely different animal.

Likewise, the Evo is a completely different animal than a ho-hum Lancer. Yes, it's a 4-door with a somewhat dowdy body, but who cares with all that go-fast hardware?

Take a moment and re-read my last paragraph of the earlier post. I directed that at "Some of you...," not you.

Man, I love the title of this thread...it's just so...true. At least the 'trash-talking' part is. It just sounds like a bunch of people prejudice against something they know little about.

 

There are good people who own import sports cars also that DO NOT put ridiculous stickers, big wings and big bodykits, loud fart can exhausts, etc on their cars. Its unfair to lump everyone who owns an import into the same category.

That said, its also unfair to say a Mustang owner will do something specific just because he owns a certain car. There are hineyholes, idiots and ricers everywhere, even some are Mustang owners. I've seen LOTS of riced out Mustangs with clear tail lights and big wings. All show and no go.

 

Geez....where did that come from? We are talking about internal combustion gasoline engines. Admittedly a diesel, a much stronger engine, can take a turbo much more readily. I don't know many EVOs, or cars at all anymore that use diesel engines. If you are going to make an intelligent rebuttal, then great, but don't use totally unrelated items to bolster your argument.
