Well I used to have an 03 altima 3.5se auto that I traded in for current mustang GT auto. I had intake/exhaust and was running low 14's in my altima..best of 14.22. I have a friend that I met on a nissan board and he has an 05 altima 3.5se auto and was running 14.6 with intake and exhaust. He just added a pulley and nitrous and dynoed above 250hp and around 270 trq at the wheels. we both roll out and he is behind me and we are on cell phones so i could tell him to punch it when i did. as we merge on the interstate I tell him to punch it as I do at around 40mph..He stays on my hiney and gets to my right side and would of passed me if the merging lane didn't end cause there was traffic on the middle lane. then we slow down to about 60mph side by side this time and we gun it. i get the jump but then he gets a car length on me instantly and then we stay there till 100mph..then we shut it down.. I drove it afterwards and man did it feel strong. Overall a good time. I don't feel bad cause I'm stock for now.. I can't wait to get my C & L intake and predator tune to get this baby faster. Just got to save up some money.

i wouldn't give it much thought. pretty much, all bets are off when your opponent is sprayin' no matter what he's driving

I dunno, but I bet you the Nissan dealer won't be giving up any free $6,000 engines if that thing blows being on the bottle.
He's really risking a huge nightmare doing that.

IMHO, unless both opponents are running the juice, it's "cheatin". He he. Good run anyway.

I don't think nos is cheating. A mod is a mod. We are good friends. If I had intake/exhaust, pulley and nitrous I would smoke him. It was my idea to judge how much faster he got since he was running 14.6 without pulley and exhaust. I knew it would be real close or he would edge me out. well have to do it from a stop instead of rolling to see how good he is off the line.

you did NOT just compare those two, did you???

It's not cheating, but the GT is relying on pure American muscle, no extra perf parts. To me that is rewarding. So who cares if he need NO to keep up. You are stock power.
Another way to think of it is what would happen if you took a shot of NO in the stang. Good bye!

Sounds like fun...I have yet to even meet up with anyone on the street in terms of even a friendly race. Looking for an RX-8 or a 350Z, think it would be a fun time.
Edit: street racing is bad

I have a stock GT and raced both a 350Z and a 04? Corvette Vert. The 350Z was no contest for the Stang (he had modded exhaust, too). On the other hand, the guy in the Vette didn't know how to drive so I took him half-way to the next light... then he used his 50+ extra HP to pull ahead. I knew I didn't stand a chance against him, but it was still fun.
Street racing is only bad if you get caught!
