Found some wheels and tires and a SWEET car!!

I went to a local swap meet and found a guy with a set of brand new 20" Boss 226 wheels and also a set of 20" Foose wheels both wrapped in Toyo T1R tires. 245/34/20 on the fronts and 275/30/20 on the rears.

$2500 for the Boss wheels and tires and $4000 for the Foose wheels and tires. That is in Canadian dollars and no tax.

Anyway, I took the guys number and went to his house to see them again with a little more time. He opened the garage door to show them to me and there is a new 2007 Shelby GT 500. That was a nice ride, but the real car was under a cover.

He pulled it back to reviel a 1968 Shelby GT 500 all original with 34k miles on the odometer. It was gold with white stripes, one of only 26 made with that colour. THAT was a sweet car, probably worth about $250k at Barret Jackson.

He is holding the wheels for me while I wait to finish a wiring job that will give me enough cash to pick them up.

Just thought I would share, sorry, no picutres to show.

I would sell it if I were him while the market is hot. I don't think Barret Jackson will bring the prices they are now in 5 years time.

The Boss wheels. I couldn't afford the Foose ones.

Funny there is so much history here in this town locked or put away from prying eyes in this town , when I was in the cleaning sort of buis I'd run across so much of that , curious was the 97 Shelby the black one coup or a red vert.

Picked up the wheels today and installed them. I will get a picture posted tomorrow. I was wrong about the size of the rear tires, they are 295/30/20, they are friggin huge!.

I find it amazing that a 20" wheel does not look too big at all on these cars. Look for pictures Tuesday night.
