As I slowly become convinced that I will be waiting until '06 for my Mustang GT coupe, I still check the local dealers once in awhile to see if anyone has something close to what I want and will sell it to me under the x-plan. So here are the good, the bad, and the ugly from today's search.

Good - Rancho Santa Margarita Ford has 6 Mustang GT Coupes, 10 V6's, no verts. *
Bad - Capistrano Ford has 18 V6's and 6 V6 verts.
Ugly - Galpin Ford has 35 V6's and 7 V6 verts.

I looked at probably 20 other dealers and all had at least 4 or 5 V6 coupes with a smattering of one or two V6 verts here and there. Only one place had a few GT verts, but don't remember which place it was. Very few had any GT coupes.

* one of the GT's was close enough to at least call about, but they won't do x-plan.

 

According to forddirect, the dealership i bought mine at shows to have 5 gt verts, but no coupes, suprising.

 

Surprising that RSM Ford wont do XPlan. I got mine there on XPlan, I love that dealership. They did everything right, and treated me very well. It might be that they only do orders on XPlan, not sure. Call and talk to Daniel, he is a Fleet Manager over there. He was my sales guy, and very good people. They also NEVER do markups. They are Saleen dealers as well.

 

ford direct isnt accurate. i can tell you that as of today galpin had atleast 3 GTs, 1 roush and maybe 1 saleen if it hasnt sold yet.
