As you know, Ford's Official 2005 Mustang Website has a place to register / sign up to receive e-mails on upcoming events. I signed up almost 2 months ago and have yet to receive anything. You would think that Ford would at least acknowledge you.

There has been enough recent news about the 2005 Mustang for Ford to start
e-mailing the customers who took the time to register with them !

Has anyone else received anything ???

I registered long ago also. Early on, I called them, and emailed them. They could not tell me anything about the 2005, not even which car shows it might be at. Ford's inability to acknowledge my interest in the car has been my greatest dissapointment thus far - but they have not stopped me from wanting it (yet) lol. Brad's site has been the best thing for me - to satisfy my interest in the car. I say Ford should start with the propoganda, and test it on the Mustang junkies. Heck, on that website we gave them permission to invade our privacy !

I guess we could cut Ford some slack, they are a big company, and this is a new car, and they need to get organized for one big massive roll-out later in the year. On the other hand, I am kind of hoping that they could recognize a small group of very devoted enthusiasts who desire this car more than anything else. I've already told them that I would be most happy with a marketing program that acknowledges Mustang enthusiasts with a special loyalty rebate or something similar. Like you GT Jeff .. I'm also waiting .. waiting .. waiting ...

OK, I'm confused....

First off, this is my first post so bear with me.

Second, I want to get a 2005 GT (I've dreamed of owning a Mustang since I saw a 5.0 back in 1990) and finally have the money to buy a Mustang. I've been driving crappy Honda's (don't ask) for the last 14 years, and finally am on my own to get a muscle car.

But today I called my local Ford dealer to pre-order a 2005. He told me that all that was going to be available for the next 6-8 months was the Pony V-6 and Convertible. What the? I thought the Convertible wasn't going to be out until February (or there abouts).

Is this guy blowing smoke? I've been reading where people have pre-ordered their GT's and have a production date of 9/13. If someone has pre-ordered a GT and gotten a confirmation, please let me know who to have this guy call. I am frustrated!!

Also, I've registered twice at the Ford website to send me information OR SOMETHING regarding the 2005. Nothing.

I've registered three times and still have not heard a peep outta Ford! It's getting to be very annoying . They know we are gonna buy one anyway so why should they be worried about it?

I guess something will change when we can no longer go to the site and build a 2004, which has been out of production for months... :bang:
