why the foglights are not optional for the V6?
is there a problem with not enough place (motor to large)???

I think it's more to visually differentiate btw. the V6 and the GT, not cause they can't.

I don't think they were offered back in the 60's on the V6's either, so it stands to reason why they aren't available on the V6's in 2005.

Though, there seems to be some swaps that may take place between owners of the V6 and Gt's

Hey, I will do a Joe Namath and guarantee that any V6 owner what wants to swap grilles with my GT (when I get it) will have the work done by me personally. And I can run around grille-less for a few days I bet if need be.

And since you can see my work speak for itself below, that's not a bad thing for the V6 person.

Although I am curious how to get the Fog Lamps to work in the V6 without drilling holes for a switch or running wiring... But I can figure it out, baby!

Im sure they will sell it as a kit with the complete grille, lights, and replacement switch. Most likely all the provisions are already in the wiring harness to make it plug-and-play. Its highly doubtfull they have two different wiring harness's. It would cost a lot more to do it both ways. Its like power windows on every model, it would cost a lot more to EXCLUDE them on just a few.

i think you can get it as an accessorie from the catalog that ford gives you, I know on my old 02 V6 that all the GT's had fog lights but I could get them on my V6 as an accessories, may be the same deal.....

OK!

Step 1: On my GT, Unplug my fogs, remove grille, remove switch from dash, save.

Step 2: Then, on the v6, I remove grille and (perhaps) switch, save

Step 3: Then on the v6, I install grille, plug in fogs, and install switch.

Step 4: Then on the GT, I install grille, (perhaps) switch.

Step 5: Some kind of magic happens here...

Step 6: Profit?

Too Easy! (right.)

it was an easy access. on the 94-04 cause all you had to do was mount up the brackets in the holes allready there (cutting the plastic bars on the 99+)

this one will be a bit more expensive cause (correct me if I'm wrong) the grills are different between the two. and if you wanted that stock look you would have to buy the GT grill and lights plus wiring.

Mounting a switch shouldn't be a big deal is the foglight switch is in the row above the radio. then all you have to do is pop out the filler piece and wire the working switch in.,

Now THAT might actually look kinda cool, depending on what's behind the grille (radiator, support, etc).

Sorry if I'm just dumb here, but should those really be called "foglights"? In my world, foglights are amber or yellow and sit close to the ground. Those are beamlights... Sorry if I'm splitting hairs but I figured if I got some term wrong I'd better sort it out straightaway..
