floating idle in neutral

Is an idle speed that floats between around 1000 rpms and then drops to around 400 and almost stalls and then jumps back up to 1000 normal condition? this happens when in neutral at either a stop light or when stopped in traffic. I wouldnt think so. I took it in at local dealer (who also was working on some rattles in the A-pillar)

they said they reflashed the pcm to a new code and it was good to go. took it home, and when in end of the day busy traffic, noticed it doing it even worse. any ideas? I searched the TSB section and didnt notice anything. by the way, car is stock, 8,100 miles, expect for flowmaster axle back and new rims and tires.

thanks

Sam

Fuel deposits might have collected on a sensor somewhere making the computer "hunt" for the correct reading. Have you put in any fuel system or injector cleaner lately? My dealership uses Chevron Techron for fuel sensor problems. I have 29,000 on mine and no problems yet. I use BP or Shell Gas here in Indiana. Good luck!

Sam, check my first and last posts on this thread:
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?p=685456

i've had this problem before and after fixing every single TSB out there on my 06, it was finally solved by changing the throttle body assembly, complete with the motor and throttle position sensor (all under warranty)

good luck
