Just took delivery of my '05 Saturday and I love it.

Just an observation or two about the fit and finish, since I have read how much it is improved.

The finish on my car is excellent. It's black, no signs of orange peel, or easy chipping, etc.

The fit - I'm a little surprised, thought it would be a little tighter. I noticed that my trunk lid closes about 1/8" higher than the rear deck, and seems a little more pronounced on the driver's side, but definitely doesn't align smoothly on either side. I don't know if this can be corrected, since it is a moveable part, or if anyone else has noticed this.

The fit just behind the front fender and below the rear view mirrors is also off about 1/4" on either side also.

I also have an annoying rattle which seems to be coming from my shifter in 1-2 gear.

Otherwise, I love this car! This v6 is quite quick married to the 5 spd, and has a nice growl to it that surprised me.

Well then stay in third or fourth... But really, no car is perfect. I take that back, but most cars aren’t.

The fit differences just behind the fender don't bother me and aren't noticeable unless you look very closely for them. It's the trunk fit that's annoying; although it is also very minor, I was maybe going with an aftermarket ducktail, and this would not align the way it is now - so I think I'll take it to the dealer to see what they can do with it and the rattle.

My '05 is black on black (dark charcoal grey leather, with the IUP) and the salesmen at the dealer I bought it from said it was the best looking mustang on the lot (among many). I would agree - I like the combination.

I'd rather have a GT, but they sure have made the v6 an awesome ride in my opinion!
