The last 6 digits of a VIN are the production sequence numbers according to Ford. Normally the cars are produced in this sequence but due to commodities, etc a vehicle may be produced out of sequence. I am attaching a 2005 model year VIN decoder so everyone can check their VIN for all the good info.

There's been PLENTY of discussion about this in this past. The cars are not normally produced in the VIN sequence.
