Finally took the leap -

I'm glad you ordered the car you really want, not one that would have been a compromise you would ultimately be unhappy with. I got mine 7 weeks after ordering and hope you'll have as much good luck as I did!

Man, you are one of the lucky ones SonicBlue05GT. I was told 10 -12 weeks when I ordered. I'm at 14 weeks now with no end in sight. Dealer thinks I may not even get the car.

Hope you hear something soon. I think it's wrong that there are people that have been waiting since october still.
Why does the dealer think you might not get the car?

Well, today I did it. Ordered my first new car.
The dealer has a Torch Red on the floor that financing fell through on, and they tried to make me a "last tax day deal". But it had the wrong wheels, no spoiler, black stripes and no IUP. Too many headaches to chase the parts to make it the way I want and the deal was only invoice.
So I took the leap and ordered. 8 weeks to delivery.
I certainly learned a lot from this site, and thanks to all who answered my questions and offered input.

Well, I gotta say that after seeing Montrose's car I stopped by the dealer and asked about changing color - he said I have plenty of time, so I am right on the bubble. It may change to Performance White with blue stripes...
