I was in Daytona last week, Carlos had one just like you described except had the spoiler...If I had to do it all over again, I'd have bought thru him or one of the other big dealers, fly down and take a nice 2 day drive home. the big guys you can order thru and have delivered directly from ford to your local dealer too- they have allocation, and can get the cars quick.
Whatever you decide, however bad the wait may seem(last week/shipping is a killer) I gotta agree with everyone else- it will be worth all the bs involved with the wait. This is the coolest driving car Ive ever had, still cant believe its finally here...the exhaust sounds so cool you wont want to upshift. I rolled over 100 miles tonight and already burned half a tank- and really havent romped on it too much yet...just tend to keep in second gear around town at 2500 or so...4th on the highway sounds awesome too...the car purrs along silently on the highway in 5th, but drop a gear and touch the gas it wakes right up...dr. jekyll and mr. hyde...I dont tend to drive fast anymore(luckily no tickets since 1980) but I'm gonna get in trouble trying to hit 35 in 50 feet all the time
one road out of town goes 35 to 60 and as I left town last night putting along in third, stepped on it and glanced down to see 80 coming up fast...that right pedal is too addictive, and the sounds are incredible. the car fits like a glove, took about 5 seconds for that strange new car feel to go away...Ford really nailed this one.
