Finally got the car
#4
Ok, so here's what happened:
Back in May I went to a nearby dealership and ordered my Sonic Blue Saleen S281. Well two days ago the phone rings; caller ID shows it as being my dealership so I was thinking that they either had my car or would have it very soon. I pick up and the guy tells me "I have some bad news. Your car isn't getting built." I was immediately just depressed since I had been waiting and was very anxious for my car. What happened was Ford ended up cutting both Saleen and Roush short so they didn't get as many cars as they were supposed to, leaving me s.o.l. So I went to the internet so I could find another sonic blue Saleen; I wouldn't have any other color. Luckily I found one 200 miles away in Illinois. So yesterday I spent 8 hours driving to and from the dealership. Worst part was I didn't get to drive it home; I ordered an automatic since I can't drive a stick and this was a stick. So my mom drove it home and I followed her the whole way anticipating getting home so I could finally get some practice. Now I've got the hang of it and am thoroughly enjoying this thing. I don't think I could ask for a better car.

ok to answer everyone's questions:
I'll be 18 on the 17th. It's my b-day/graduation present. It was a lil over 40k. and yes I learned to drive a stick in this thing. I caught on pretty quick, it's really not that difficult. Great car. Haven't hurt the transmission as far as I know. And no unfortunately they didn't include the blue Elmo....too bad
