Sure, do anything in your power, but there's no shame in waiting for an 06, 07, 08 or what-have-you.

well one thing is, there wont be aftermarket parts for it yet. and i want this car ounding MEAN. i wanna see it kick some serious rice hiney too, sorry if you are into imports, just my opinion that i dont care for them. some are fast as heck, but its cool i prefer the muscle, hot rods and the american cars. ... but i want this 05 pretty bad. although it might have some draws considering its first in its type class. it will prob have errors and recals.

Recalls or not, just look at it. I'm so stupid about this car. I ordered mine less than two weeks ago and have called my sales guy at least every other day. I never do that :nono: but I can't help it. What the hey we all gotta have something to keep us up at night!

My question for you guys that already ordered 2005 Mustang, WHY? I mean, could you just go to Ford dealer when dealers get 2005 Mustangs and buy one?
I made decision to get 2005 V6. Working at Wal-Mart, and being full-time student at college (I took 16 credits last semester), I can't afford GT. I'm planing to save some money for down payment and maybe even trade in my '97 Dodge Intrepid. I guess I could get more money for my '00 Mustang V6 (only 23,000 miles), but I could never sell that car.

For example,
My dealer is only allocated 2 on the first "run". I took his first one on May 24th and some other guy last Thursday, June 10th.
I want to be one of those guys driving around in a black GT fog light on burning up the road. Causing heads to turn and ricers to crash. And listen to people whine about how they went to the dealership on October 1 and were told there's a 6 month waiting list.
but that's just me.

You mean to tell me that not everyone will be able to buy one when they first come out?

You have to remember that there are enthusiast that are going to buy these up as soon as that first ad hits t.v. or big magazine write-up.

Speaking of waitinglist and stuff, what is the average ammount of time it takes to order a car until it arrives at the dealer? (2004 for example)
I was planning on getting an 05 in January after some of the hype has died, when do you guys suggest I place the order then?
