my friends dad is the financial manager at elmwood for here in jersey. he had a meeting today and this was one of the dealers 1st meetings about the new mustang. he got a little brocure with all the information about the car. he says i know more about the car than he does. anyways, local dealers should start getting more and more information about the car because ive been callin everywhere to try to find out if the order banks have opened in local dealers. all i get is "i donno". sooo thank god the dealers have finally gotten information. soo anyone else get info from local dealers??

Seems to me, that the dealers are still in the dark for the most part on the 05's....My dealer heard that the new verts were still 2 years out....but I vaguely remember seeing a pic of one in car and driver not so long ago...The dealer also says he's still not sure when he's going to see any pricing on them...This was as of last Wednesday...Seems the best info is right here on this site..IMO

well about pricing i asked the guy from the pony drive.....he said FULLY LOADED GT is $28,000........without the shaker 1000 (about $1300) it will be somewhere around $26,800. only high volume dealers know whats goin on

That agrees with the $26,900 (If my memory serves me right) listed in Motor Trend. That would be great for a fully loaded GT.

I'm budgeting 30 grand, just so I'm guaranteed not to be unpleasantly surprised when I get the final price. My dealer says he'll be able to tell me in a couple of weeks, but it seems like more knowledgeable people (on here, of course) are saying it'll be longer than that ...

Talking

Hey I just put a 2005 on order. The dealer used the 2004 spec and pricing sheet. He then added what was called a 2005 upgrade index. After all the options, including the 1000 audio, it came out to 32,000. I then got a discount. The total was 30,015. I should recieve delivery by 15 Nov. this year. It could be just me as I ordered it through military sales which goes direct to ford. Its really cool if it does as I am currently in Iraq and will get home to my new present to myself. Hope this helps if not at least it sounds good. B)

Congrats on your new order......and thanks for your service B) One thing that bothers me though , regards the dealer "05" add on. That just sounds kinda thin. I'd keep a eye out and maybe avoid locking yourself in on a deal that might not be confirmed. Good luck

My prediction for how much it will cost to be the owner of a loaded 05 GT (excluding Mach 1000)

$26,900 in September 04. $23,900 in Jun 05 (after rebates).

Far fetched? Ask 03 and 04 Mach 1 owners who bought prior to to the $3000-4000 rebates; and the 04 F-150 owners who had to be the first ones on their block to get the latest toy, compared to what they went for 9 months later ($6000 off MSRP).

Patience grasshopper.

Sounds kinda stupid, but since the gas prices rose here the price of most (high hp) trucks dropped. Had it been more consistent the drops would have been more visible.

I can only be so lucky when looking at a new car, but not for the long term of course.

I'm actually thinking abotu buying a cobra from a dealership and hold off of the 05 until around 07 so I can get enough money and not have to do a loan...

I asked about it, they said I couldn't get under 10% for a 5 year, and 8% for the 7 year...

so I'm kinda thinking... screw that...

look elsewhere. Unless your credit is horible, you can find much better rates than that.

How are you going to buy the Cobra? It will be the same rate and more total purchase price.

Speaking of cobras.....

I KNOW this isn't an 05 thing, but the car dealer down the street has one of those mystic cobras for sale. I am droolin.

Think the 05 will have any kind of mystichrome/Chromacolor available on it anytime?

So far that has only been a Cobra thing. So if you see it, I wouldn't expect it until SVT rolls theirs out. I also doubt it will be a first year Cobra thing.

You got a brochure? I haven't gotten one yet. I'll have to call the local dealers.
