Are the factory seats comfortable?
I have dark charcoal leather, and I think they are very comfy. My only complaint is when the car sits in the sun for a few hours and then I sit in the seat naked, it burns the skin off my ***. Otherwise, they are great.
Thanks! I really appreciate everyone taking time to respond
Apparently, it must just be me. I'm 5'9" and about 200lb, so the rest of the seat isn't a problem. I just find them lacking compared to many other cars I've sat in.
I just need to look into some aftermarket seats. The only problem is no one in my area sells them.

I would worry about the seats after you get the car. Drive it for a while (a few weeks at least). If you still don't like them after that, look into something aftermarket. If you decide you don't like something based on sitting in it for 2 minutes, you might be sorry later on.
I was actully amazed on how comfortable they were. It was really the finaly factor for me buying one.
I vowed never to own a Mustang after renting one in 2003 that was the most uncomfortable car I had ever been in. I think my back still hurts from that car. lol

they are way softer than the recaros in my redline, but they dont have the side support that the recaros did, i miss that car cause the seat really hugged you and you could corner hard and not slide.. but in the stang i do slide side to side a little bit...
what they said I like them. Did a 9 hr trip not to long ago and the dupa was fine after words. The part I don't like is the head rest. I think if I get rear ended my chin is going to be jamed into my chest. I am working on some sort of support/pillow that will fill that void...... hopefully with my wife's help. Either that or maybe bend the rods that hold the head rest at that screwed up angle.
They did this so that if you where rear ended hard, your whole body, including your head, would be accellerated forward by the seat. With the old style seats, your body would get accellerated first, THEN your heat would hit the head rest and get accellerated. This led to the bad casses of whiplash.
Of course, the new headrest design was mandated by the Feds after some date (I think it is 2008 model year, but I could VERY easily be mistaken!).
Personally, I like it. Driving down the road, I can lean my head back ever so slightly and have it back against the rest. It feels nice. When I first got the car, having the head rest so close to my head bothered me. But now I don't even think about it. Unless I want to rest my head back against it and now have to stare at the headliner...
