Most likely they are the same ones Saleen is using. I'm sure Ford probably created a more OEM style harness. Ford logos are stamped all over my Saleen lights. Most likely they will be in the same price range. I really enjoy mine but they do make my fogs look dim, even with Silverstars.

Chrome buckets are way too Pimp-Daddy for my tastes. Perhaps it's just a bit of a matte silver trim ring around the light proper rather than the full-on Bubba's House of Bling chrome bucket treatment. (J2Snoop -- nudge, nudge....)
HIDs would be a great functional addition, always nice to see well at night, especially for those of us who frequent deer-infested areas.

I have gone back to the stock hdlights from the projectors and miss the add'l light. Just can't seem to cough up the price of the Saleen's.
I'll find some SilverStar's are some such and try them B4 buying the HIDS.
I used an 80/120 in my Monte Carlo SS and they lit up the night. Didn't need any other lights when those were on.

Any idea if these new headlights are also going to include the LED light system Ford has been testing? They are the ones that light up the turn when you are turning your steering wheel, to mimic the moving headlights on other companies models.

How much $$ and how easy is it to steal? The reason I ask is that recall the Nissan Maximas that had HIDs stolen within 30 seconds.
I'm actually anxious to get LED headlamps. Waterproof, vibration resistant, and will outlast the car.

Trust me when I say that if someone is stealing your HIDs that will be the least of your problems.

How much farther do the Saleen HIDs illuminate? How do they look in inclement weather (lots of rain with street lamps flooding the street with light)?

They don't look any different in wet conditions.

Interesting. I would have thought the Saleen HIDs would give that same piercing glow like the Audis, BMWs, and Mercedes.
Do we have to do the relay/wiring upgrade for the S197 lighting systems? The wiring diagrams seem to indicate the low beams are controlled by the smart junction box's low current board, while there are switching relays for the high beams and fog lamps. Daniel Stern thinks those are now power relays, but they're located in the power distribution box. I'm thinking the S197's don't need any wiring/relay upgrades and just need a good pair of H13 bulbs.
Dan Stern recommends Sylvania XtraVision H13XVs.
Has anyone checked the rated lifespan on the SilverStar H13s and H10s?
