While my Silver GT was getting PDI'ed today, (don't worry, when I take delivery on Wednesday, I'll start a thread) the service tech was very nice and offered to give me the small piece that the car ships with in place of an antenna.

The car is never delivered with the antenna installed? Where is it stored? The front seat?

 

It was somewhere in the car.

05GT, delivery on Wed. because Tuesday is when the buyer of my current Mustang can get a Cashier's check but I won't be home until after the bank closes to deposit the check and pay the dealer.

 

I worked at a ford dealer for over 9 years, back then the antenna always came in the trunk. That just had me thinking and I remembered one thing we found was a box with 500 cigaret lighter elements in the trunk......

 

Have you installed the deleted antenna? does it get any kind of reception? I was planning on snipping mine to shorten it, but if it gets halfway decent deception I might just use that

 

If you guys are that interested I can send you plenty of those things.
They're laying around here everywhere with more coming in every day.
