Thought I would bring this up over here and bring in some backup, or pointout my own presumptions.

Who is right?

This guy on allfordmustang.com posted and got stickied a post about reprogramming the factory alarm, but the alarm he is programming as I point out on Page 7 doesn't seem to be the factory alarm ie "Active Anti-Theft system" option we all ordered

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ad.php?t=37271

He seems to be talking about some aftermarket alarm with a ford branding possible dealer install option, but of course is confusing the heck out of everyone in the process. As replies to other thread about the factory alarm are now being pasted information from their factory alarm programming sticky.

So What do you think? Is this the Factory alarm? If so where is my programming button its not under the steering wheel? when did they add impact sensors? My Active AntiTheft doesn't have either.

Well, I don't feel so bad then about getting talked into the dealer putting in a secondary alarm in my Factory Anti Theft-Equipped 2006.

EDIT: Uhh, after reading that thread, I'm more confused than ever

There are 3 seperate offerings.
1. The basic passive system (comes standard on all Mustangs?? )
2. The active anti-theft (optional)
3. Dealer installed Ford Accessory alarm
