As for prices, it is somewhat cheaper to import to UK (using the Kent Car rates), but it still needs to be registered and cleared here, which isn't cheap. And then I'd have to take the trip to England for every service.. <_<
Because of the better octane you can tune your car to take atvantage of it and get a nice increase in HP, but you won't lose anything if you don't tune it. as for the side turn indicators, we typically use these little indicators that just attach to the edge of the door with no drilling. my main concern is how they plan to do the rear fog light when they do the UK light conversion. the should just use one of the existing lights for it, but i will be sure to dicusse this with them before they do the conversion. i used the upper rear taillight as the rear fog light on my 92 firebird and that might work well for this car as too.

I'll look forward to meeting up with you, either here in London or in Cambridge, i'm on the west side of town, close to Heathrow,
I would'nt advise driving through the centre of town though, i've been driving L.H.D. cars for years and i'm still not brave enough to drive in central London !

Ofcourse they add a bit. Question is what you're willing to save on having to do all the paperwork and inspections yourself, and NOT having warranties, service deal and (eventual) financing through a "local" dealer.
Based on quick pen-and-paper math, the dealers here take about $5-6,000 extra compared to private import and that's worth it for getting rid of all paperwork.
