First real problem for my 05, not a biggie, but a bit annoying. When I first start up the beast in the morning, at about 1600RPM there is a loud rattle that sounds like it must be coming from one of the catalytic heat sheilds. Anyone else have this? It only lasts about a minute and then once the exhaust pipes are warm it quits. I guess a trip to the dealer is in order. :bang:

I hear the same thing. A few seconds after I start it up I hear something that sounds like someone beating a tin can with a spoon. It goes away after about 5 seconds though.

It's been below zero the last few days though, so for now I'll blame it on that.

Had the same problem a week after I got mine... took it to the dealer when I did the 1k oil change -all it was 2 loose screws on the heat sheild, hardly took any time @ all to replace... B)

BTW... Have not had a problem since

Heard it this morning in Tampa where it was 40*. I'll crawl up under the car this weekend. I don't recall seeing heat shields on the cats themselves, but rather on the underside of the car, but I'll check all shields.

I haven't been under mine either, so I don't know what the heat shields even look like on this car. I am taking mine to dealer to try and adjust the throttle response and get them to look at the rattle. I will post what they come up with.

Mine does the exactly same thing, just for few seconds and then I never hear it again until the next day. But I live in Southern cal and it does it when it is 60 or so out here
