There must be a change happening for incentives one the Mustang because they have removed the 2005 Mustang from the list.

If the 05 Mustang was listed there before, it must have been a mistake. As far as I know, there are no incentives on it.

They had it listed, but they had no incentives, similar to the listing for the ford 500.

I didn't need an incentive to buy one. It was a no-brainer for my decision to wait for the '05 to get here when I pre-ordered back in June. With the re-design and many improvements ( IMO ) over the previous model, this was the car for me, regardless of any rebates.

The only incentive needed for the mustang is to actually have one on the lot to buy!

Right. At the moment that is. At least as concerns the GT. The lots are swimming with V6 Stangs around here however. Its a Ford and of course a domestic. There will be incentives eventually. Hopefully this time next year we'll see a decent mix of GT vs V6. Then I'd say you could see incentives on even the GT model. We are already seeing dealer discounts on the six. Factory cash back can't be far behind.

I'm bettin' that we might see something on the V6. We have tons of them on the lots here also. They just aren't moving them like they thought.

Maybe they will just stop production on the V6 all together for a year so they can catch up on all the GT orders. Seems like V8 and Mustang go together like milk and cookies in most consumer's eyes.

I thought they had previously been list on the incentives page. As I recall, there wasn't a cash incentive, but they were supposed to offer 3.9% instead of 5.9%.

Not all areas are saturated with v6's we are dry in our area! But ford often does regional incentives so if there is a glut in a certain area you may see some incentives in a particular region.

I wouldn't say the lots around here are "swimming" with them. They have built up a small stock amount (about 4 -5 V6's at 1 dealership, 2-3 at a couple others), but they are still in relatively short supply. They have about as many if not more '04s as they do V6's. They are moving...not like the GTs, but they are moving.

There was special finance rates until 01/10/2005. Currently there are no public incentives, cash or finance rate, available.

Hardly "special". I believe it was 5.9% for 60 Months.
