One thing Dan forgot to add.

We asked about the Shaker 1000, and the infamous 9th speaker.

Here is the breakdown, it is actually 10 speakers total.

In each door there is a dual speaker where the subs are on the 500 and a tweeter. That adds up to 6

there are two more speakers on the package tray behind the rear seats

There are two subs, although they are only counted them as one.

That all adds up to 10, or 9 as shown in the literature.

Dan and Galaxie, congrats to you both on such a great opportunity. Great write up, the pics were great. I have probably seen thousands of pics of this new pony and I never get tired of them.

I didn't notice the sill door MUSTANG plate that we can see on the driver's side of your photos. Is that an aftermarket or that's a factory plate....LOOKS AWESOME

Excellent writeup! Thanks for your time and effort.

I’ve driven the Cobra and Mach 1 and although I’m partially biased, I did have the most fun in the 05
That's good to hear, as I was at my father-in-law's over the weekend and drove his '04 Cobra. I thought I had spoiled myself for the '05.

Oh, and get the redfire. It owns.

See this thread for some details on the performance of the '05 at IRP. I had the opportunity to race against the '05 this weekend on the IRP road course.

IRP Road couse with the '05

Dan and Galaxie, thats awesome that you guys got to experience that, that must have been so cool

As far as the red seats go, do you think they are closer to the torch red or the redfire, as far as the shade of the seats compaired to an exterior color?

Another two interior questions for you lucky guys: How bad is the glare from the aluminum strip accross the dashboard???? And how comfortable are the headrests? Every time I look at the interior pics I think the headrest angle looks like it must push your head forward.

Hey guys, how about you drop some of the quality out of the video or make it a little smaller so we can at least see it (I'd trade quality for having to wait...)?

Just a thought, congrats on getting to test drive, anxiously awaiting my Pony here in NC.

Man, I'm jealous of these people that don't know how to drive sticks, and yet get to anyway, and I went to the Racing event, signed up for a time to drive one, and got stuck with an auto. Grrr!!!

Anyway, thanx for the review guys, looking forward to the vid!!!

Hey, thanks for answering that! B) By the way, it's just a two-hour hop to Toronto....why didn't anyone tell me? j/k
I did notice when Ford brought one to our plant, the red seats looked...uhhh...blackened a bit. (maybe all them dirty Ford workers getting in and out?) Did you guys notice any of that? As well, I'm 6'4", and noticed there was decent room behind the wheel, but never jumped in the back. Then again, why would I need to be in the back of my own car?

[QUOTE]by the way, i love the fact that my v6 manual will do the EIGHT in less than 7 seconds. with a few engine mods i hope to have that number down around 6.

Dont you mean 0-60?

Great job, guys. It should only be a couple more weeks now before many of us on here will be doing our own test drives. I like the comment about the exhaust. Looks like I might not go aftermarket afterall.
