I got under my 05 tonight to check things out. At first i thought it had 2 fuel tanks, but no it's one. It is about the strangest setup i've ever seen. And the filler pipe is very small and long. Makes me wonder how does this tank work. Just an observation......I'll try to find some info on how it does...

Here is your info

It has 2 fuel pumps, one to pump from one "saddle" to the other, and the other goes to the engine.

It seems a little bit like overkill, but it is a much safer location than the back bumper.

Ok , thanks. I found also that they are accessable from the top under plates, no dropping the tank. Hope never have to anyway.

A lot of us are having our tanks replaced due to the "hard to fill" TSB.

That's why I was looking at it. Well I just wanted to get under the car & have a look at things. Looks pretty well built. Didn't know it had a 2 piece drive shaft either. That center carier bearing looks a little iffy. Hope it's not!!!

I don't know which ones are effected. I don't know about mine yet. I haven't had to fuel it yet. It was full when I got it I almost couldn't beleive it. But the weather hasn't been to good so it's in the garage.

Ragshockey88, I didnt have trouble the first couple times I filled it up, and even now after 4000 miles its not 100% of the time. Several others have said it doesnt happen right away...
