ETA on 06 GT Vert's
#1
As much as I don't want to wait for an 06 (I have no car at all now), I am kind of warming up to upgrading my order for a 2005 V6 Vert, into a 2006 GT Vert.
When do you think 2006 Verts will be built? Do they only built late in winter? Or can I get it delievered in winter? This is my first car, so I am not an expert, but isnt it better to get my vert delivered in December/January than in April?

Mustangs will be built as long as there are orders for them regardless of type. If you order an 06 V6 Vert they'll build it in December if need be .
I know for me turn around time will be close to 4 months.

I see. So they build convertibles all year around? I thought the building of convertibles was seasonal.
In this case, building on 2006 Convertibles will start at the same time as the Coupes?
Cause I thought that for the 2005 they didnt build the verts until later.

As far as I remember the verts were delayed because of commodities as well as design delays. With the '06 being the same as the '05 there should be no delay between verts and coupes. It's all dependant on dealer allocation and build time from factory. I'm thinking if you order now you should have it before December?

PS I'm going to take the risk and order First week Feb 2006. That way it will be there for the summer, save it from one winter of abuse.
