Thumbs up

When I call to check the status on my car with the VOPC, Vehicle ordering process center, ERL, I am getting this message.

As of May 2nd this vehicle has been diverted from your dealership to another dealership, please contact your regional office.

Yesterday it said As of May 2nd your vehicle has been released to the convoy carrier pending convey shipment."

What the @#$% is going on? :bang:

Playing the optimist here.

Maybe it got shipped to the wrong dealer and it's just her way of telling you it's delayed.

You'll get your car. Be patient.

I would get to my dealer in the AM. The order processing center opens at 8:30 Eastern for him to call and check.

**MYSTERY SOLVED!!** Scott and I ordered our cars from the same large Southwest dealership in December; I was getting the same "diverted" message as he.

Thanks to the help of another member of this forum (you know who you are!! ), I've figured out that Ford's system updated YESTERDAY for our dealership's change in ownership (and resulting name change) that occurred TWO YEARS AGO. As a result of this change, our dealership was assigned a new dealer code in Ford's system - so, to the ERL, it looked as though the cars were being sent to a different dealer when in fact they're being delivered to the same location as always! Way to go, Ford, give us a heart attack!!

I'm just glad it's apparently OK as of now, and our cars are still on track to be delivered.

ERL scared the crap out of my this morning by stating, "Your vehicle has been released from the foreign factory." I thought that I had just mis-heard the word foreign, but I callled again and got the same message clear as a bell. Has anyone heard of this?

That ain't as scary as hearing "your vehicle has been diverted"!! The status you heard is common - because the AAI plant is jointly-owned by Ford and Mazda, it's called a "foreign" assembly plant in Ford nomenclature.

Or as scary as them pulling it off shipment and putting it on hold due to "Issues" like they did mine.

Are you using a Northeastern Oklahoma dealer like scott and I?
