ERL Delay

Anyone know what the usual timespan is from making an order and the ERL having some status is? I ordered on November 13th and I'm still getting "I'm sorry, but there is no status, blah blah blah..." as of today, Nov 27th. Called up customer service today and lady there said that it's not uncommon, may even take up to a month. AHHH! Thought maybe because of the holidays it could be backed up.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your car shows up with the ERL as soon as the dealer actually places the order. Either they're lying to you about placing the order, (hmmm, a dealer lie?) or one of your numbers/letters is wrong.

Did you get the order # off the DORA (the actual number, not 9999 or 0000)? The ERL should see your order as soon as the dealer sends it in.

Hmm, this could be the problem here. I have a copy of something that says, "VEHICLE ORDER CONFIRMATION" up top. The order number says 0000. There is another number that says Order Code: 170A. I've been using the 0000 as the order number. Someone I spoke to told me that that just meant I was their first order for this body type. Come to think about it, as I write this I just remembered seeing on forddirect that they had a GT vert there, so this obviously isn't true.

How do I get the actual order number? How many digits is it? Just numbers or letters/numbers?

I'm dealing with a trusted dealer so I'm about 99% sure they aren't lieing to me. Search for another one of my threads entitled, "My saga continues", and you'll see that this is my second attempt at ordering this car.

Call your dealer and ask for a copy of the actual DORA (Dora as in Dora the explorer) and ask for the order number. The dealer number on your confirmation sheet should be F#####. When speaking to the ERL, your dealer code is just the #'s w/o the F. However, your order # should be unique digits and not 0000 or 9999. The right info can be found on the actual DORA if the dealer sent your order into the system.

The VOC the dealer gave you is practically useless. Being as he used a "sample" order number (0000), he didn't actually place the order at that time. He was simply using it to show you your options and pricing.

IF he really placed the order, the VOC or the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) will both give you all the information you need. The order number can be whatever combination of 4 letters or numbers the dealer wants to use.

I would definitely get my hands on one of those 2 documents. The DORA would be better because, unless you know what you're looking for, the VOC looks almost the same whether it's a real order or not. (as you've already found out. ) If you can, scan a copy of whichever one you get and we can help you out. Here are scans of mine: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2381545/3

Got the DORA just now, called up the ERL, and my baby is scheduled for production NEXT WEEK!!!

I had to come back to work, and I just want to leave and run around and be merry. Looks like I will get it right around my birthday (Dec 18th). I am beyond excited right now. Can't wait...
