OK I should post these type of questions in the issues section but it will be moved there eventually anyhow

OK I had my 2006 taken in for the Axel whine and after they installed the parts, I still hear the same sound as before. Though I don't hear it coming from in back of me, rather from in front of me. When I step on the gas There is a "whir" sound that starts low and ramps up then all is quiet. Is this normal of the V6?

This is Synchro Wine from your T50 Tremec 5 sp man. I bet the autos don't do this. I'm not worried about this in my vehicle -- does the same thing but in 3rd.. I've got 7 year / 100K warranty if any issues...

mine has done that, but it's normal operation. Almost sounds like a light Supercharger whine. lol

It means your exhaust is not loud enough.

I think all the automatics make this noise. I'm glad the dealer repaired the rear end.
