Here you have it. The BMR strut tower brace with intake cover. The strut tower brace sits directly on top of the intake cover, with no space between. Actually it works good and haven't had any problems. I installed washers under the strut tower brace to give it a little more clearance, but had to take them out because I cross threaded on of the nuts and didn't have enough threads. Some lock tight fixed that. Be careful if you try this setup, the nuts and studs on the car are really cheap.

I slid a seat belt pad across my steeds brace for protection. Works well and can withstand the heat....no problem. Or you could slip on some wrist bands, or cut the ankle part of a tube sock and put that on
