Electerical problem?

I today I went to the mall and it's about 10mins away from my house, I got there and parked far out then found a front row so I ran back an brought it up, when I tried to start it the battery seemed as if it was gong to die soon... didn't thin much of it so I went it got y shoes came back out, same thing, so I was in my way home and about 4minutes on my way back and out of nowhere my radio went out. I figured thats weird so I pulled over into a parking lot and turned it off and tried to turn it back on and nothing, completely dead. (I bought a brand new battery 1 month ago). So I had somebody come jump me and all was good for about another 3 minutes until I lost everything again, while driving. I lost radio, gauges, brake lights, EVERYTHING. So at this point I said I'm going straight to the shop. I continued for another 4 mins and then the engine started acting up. I extremely LITTLE power to engine, could even get up to 25 on a 55. by the time I got to the shop the car began jerking. No idea what's going on! If you have any idea please let me know, thanks in advance.

Yeah, you need a new alternator. Not a big deal. If you keep jumping it though, it's gonna kill your battery too.

Edit: You can take it to O'reillys/Autozone/Napa/etc and have them check the battery and alternator for free just to confirm, but it definitely sound like a bad alternator. You're only getting a few minutes of drive time out of it, because you're running just on the battery.

It's definitely something that you can change yourself with just a few tools.
