My Escape has the e-brake on the left; after a while, you never even notice it. It's not in the way, really, of anything. Also, I looked at the new brochure (picked up this morning!) and the picture on page 17 which shows the e-brake, seems to show that it really isn't very high. Just my opinion..

My 02 Tbird has it on the right. Why would they change the side???? Is there a power point in the center console or are we all faced with using the high one that is in the way of everything. Who wants wires hanging all over?

Sorry folks. I really didn't mean to start this again.
I appreciate the original effort to suggest a way to make the handle look more stylish. I also enjoyed getting just one more look at that wonderful photo of the guy with his parking break up - I still think that one's priceless!
After SEMA perhaps we can compare the after market alternatives.
Until then, perhaps a poll is in order:
Should Nazgul change his handle to "That Guy Who Hates the '05 E-Brake Handle."
