:shock: Wow, does it go up that high normally? I've seen a couple of shots that look more like this:

 

My Escape has the e-brake on the left; after a while, you never even notice it. It's not in the way, really, of anything. Also, I looked at the new brochure (picked up this morning!) and the picture on page 17 which shows the e-brake, seems to show that it really isn't very high. Just my opinion..

 

I really don't have an issue with the brake in the "up" position. It's when it's in the down position where i take offense. It appears to ride too high when not being used.

 

My 02 Tbird has it on the right. Why would they change the side???? Is there a power point in the center console or are we all faced with using the high one that is in the way of everything. Who wants wires hanging all over?

I appreciate the original effort to suggest a way to make the handle look more stylish. I also enjoyed getting just one more look at that wonderful photo of the guy with his parking break up - I still think that one's priceless!

After SEMA perhaps we can compare the after market alternatives.
