I have the perfect thing. It's geek/nerd, but I think it'd be great. Here's what you do.
Obtain a copy of the Star Trek: The Motion Picture soundtrack. Play the track titled "Leaving Drydock" just after you start your car.
The first cue is starting up. Softly, slowly building, as the space workers clear out and detach/close up. So you would be adjusting things, making sure you're ready, positioning the car for "take off," that kind of thing.
Then, a slightly bombastic cue as the ship lights up outside and powers up. Well, you're already there, but you can turn on your lights and blip the motor in neutral.
Then it quietens down for a second, to a slight build up and when the music starts being bombastic again. At this point, Enterprise is slipping out of the drydock. You should be exiting the dealership. Whatever leaving you wanna do.
The music stays like that for a while, and the main theme plays one more time. They're leaving orbit, about to fly off to the space cloud, then they hit impulse drive and you should be on the freeway feeder gettin' on the freeway at this time, and cruising as the music comes to a close.
That's what I'm gonna do. And then I'm listening to some of the way bassy V'Ger stuff after that, or maybe start the whole thing from the beginning and cruise to Galveston.![04](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/04.gif)
Of course, it may be hard to *exactly* time it all...

For all the metal heads :headbang: check out Disciple home page. Saw them one night when we where asked to help with the lighting. They rock. One of my favorite bands now.
