Door panel question
Hey guys,
Well it is now 2013 and my car is from 2006. I guess the plastic things are starting to get loose in the cabin.
I have a ratte in my door. I figured it out that it is the small panel inside the door area. So if you were to grab the handle from inside the car to close the door, then extend your fingers you would hit the panel I am referring too. I can literately shift the panel back and forth. Does anyone know of a way to stop this rattle?
Thanks.

Got the solution. There are two panels that will do this on the door panel, I suggest doing them both. The one behind the door handle, and the one in the middle grab handle with the map pocket:
Go get the sticky back 1/4" squares of velcro and an alcohol wipe or other suitable plastic/paint cleaner.
Remove said panel. Inspect the mounting area and the panel to find the best place to put a square of velcro on. You will only use one square, and use the felt square, not the bristle.
Use the wipe to clean the surface you are going to use. Either the panel itself or the area behind it, whichever. Mount square. Mount panel.
All quiet.
If it's a significant gap, such as I remember on the door panel handle in the middle, you can use both the bristle and the felt. Just put them together, stick one side, take the wax paper off the other, then mount the panel and press.
Hope that helps! Worked wonders on my '06!

i feel your pain. i had my doors dyna matted and it makes a pretty good difference. i dont think ive heard rattles since then
as far as im aware the shaker 500 & 1000 head units shouldnt be any different? the only difference in the shaker 500 & 1000 is 2 10s and an amp? i could be wrong. i asked about the door subs because thats one of the main reasons sh*t rattles on these cheap plastic doors :\

Any of the rattling parts can be fixed by putting velcro (the soft side) on the under side of said part and reinstalling it. That way it will be tighter fit. I used some Armaflex tape. It's a black soft foam tape used for insulating pipes.
Ha, I can't believe I found my old thread! Check this out, it's been working out great for me since I did this back in '07 (never had to re-apply):

Thanks Cavero, but his is not where my rattle is coming from. Its is the plate behind the door arm, where you grab when you want to pull the door shut once you get inside.
I have a few other rattles I need to get rid off, but one at a time. One is coming from behind me, at least it sounds like it, and I only get it when I bumpy road. In time I will find that one. But I first want to focus on the door as it is constant when I drive.

I would remove the panel and check it out. I am sure over time the fastener holes or devices could have worn out or come loose.
