I noticed that some 2005 Mustangs have door ding protection moldings the same color as the car along the doors and some do not. I've seen V6s and GTs with and without them. Just recently I saw a GT in a parking lot with them on it. Can anybody explain why some cars have them and some don't? I did not order them on my GT and I don't think they are on the option list. :scratch:

As I understand it the side molding are a fleet only option. So it isn't available to us as of yet.

 

Or, likely dealer add on's... like pinstripes, etc.

 

they are fleet only option. The cars that you have seen them on are rental cars. I don't like them anyway.

It is a option in Canada and let me tell you it's major ugly IMO .It go's straight right through the middle of the door (same color of car) and doe's not work with the side body line's.

 

I took mine off... who wants them?
