door chime deactivating?

door chime deactivating?

is there anyway to deactivate the door chime that come on when the driver side door is open?

If you remove your keys the noise will stop.

Yes there is away, but I dont know how to on the Mustang.
I did get it done on my 00 Taurus by taking the key cylinder out and placing a piece of tape over the electrical contact. No contact, no noise. (I was also putting a loop over the cylinder for a remote start)

In the old days, I simply removed the door pin and cut that wire.

Read your manual, they have a factory way to do it, without tearing the car apart.
