I have a Passport 8500 that I use in my 2006 GT. About 25-50% of the time that I turn on my window washer, my Passport 8500 goes into alarm for Lasor. Has anyone else had this happen or does anyone have a reason for this happening.

I've got the same Passport and have not noticed this happening. ALthoug I very rarely if ever use the window washer.

hmm. Is the passport plugged into the power jack? Maybe you're picking up some sort of current drain and pulling a low voltage for a split second, sending the detector into an unknown state.. wild guess

As said above I would also suspect some sort of current draw causing the problem.

I have an x50, not noticed this problem

I have had a similar issue just totally random and 50% or more throttle.
Was strange, turned off car, restarted and it was fine. This has happened about 3 times in 2 1/2 years, but all in the last 3 months

I've been getting random laser alerts as well. Usually right before I leave my home. No clue what's causing it yet.

Only time mine has ever had the Laser warning was coming through Ohio last year. Since I was looking straight at the Ohio State Patrol officer in the medium, I felt like the signal was dead on...
