Didn't look that close at it, but maybe the front is a door for CD's or sunglasses.

I think it's exactly that. It's looking at the door so I guess that is the ultrasonic interior motion detector.

My 2000 has the mustang emblem in front of the rear view mirror. so does my father's '01.

...But i didnt know about the glasses net. any pictures of THAT?

you may be right, that may be for the alarm :scratch: The other pic of the V6 one may be the stock overhead console.

I have that on my 2000 also. It isn't anything new. I expected it to be on 2005.
