I guess all dogs tear up furniture, and urinate all over the floor? Everyone I know that has dogs doesn't have that kind of trouble. If you can't train your dog well enough to be housebroken, maybe you shouldn't have one.
Before you start giving advice on who should and shouldn't have a pet, maybe you should re read the thread.

Did you mean to quote someone else?

I said that I DO bring my dog w/ me. 'Protecting your investment' meant putting down a blanket over your seats to keep dog hair off of them... unless of course you have some way to train your dog to keep it's hair securely on it's body? If you've found a way to do that, please share your supurb dog training skills!

Edit to add: Unless maybe you deliberately took my quote out of context?

That's awesome John Girls just don't understand, based on our wive's befuddlement last night at Old Towne when my wife told me to look in your trunk Yes it's "just a car", but then again, it's not just any car

Yes that was funny. Dave's wife says to him "Look at all the sheets in his trunk"... of course she meant to make fun of me, but Dave's response is "So?" He understood why they were there, but didn't understand what she was trying to say.
Of course, nothing bad what-so-ever about Dave's wife. It's just that his wife and mine enjoy pointing out how we are about our cars.
It's always great to trade stories and meet other TMS'rs.
