My car was C/U until about a month ago when my dealer told me my order was picked up. I confirmed this with the order status system. I was scheduled for production the week of April 18th.

Last weekend, the order status system stated "As of April 21st, my car was produced".

I regularly checked my order status over the last few weeks. I was never told my order was serialized nor was I told that I was locked in for production.

Today, my dealer gave me my VIN and told me there was no change in the status of my order. I replied to his email and stated my source told me it was built last week. I have yet to receive a reply to my reply.

Your dealer seems to be about as much in the know as mine.

 

Maybe it's less of not knowing and more of not caring. He knows he has a sale so he’s not going to check for updates ever minute. I guess you just picked wrong, my dealership kept me updated.
