Did you test drive before buying?
I drove a V6 (that's all they had), ordered an automatic GT, drove a manual GT, and didn't drive the auto. till the day my car arrived.
Didn't matter - I was getting this car no matter what!

I can't find any local dealers with GTs, gonna order mine around March and I would love to drive one before I order. Although my mind has been made up months ago to get an 05, I really would like to kick the tires before I commit.
I have yet to see a 05 Mustang GT in the streets of miami, let alone in the dealers.
There were a bunch in the Nascar race in Homestead back in November, I was told those babies all ready had an owner.
I wonder if the owners knew where their loved ones were at!

i have yet to drive one at all...Mines should be here in a few days though and i'll want to test drive it before the paperwork is completed, although i don't know why, as if my opinion is going to change.

I test drove a manual Legend Lime. They were willing to deal on the car because it was working up to about 300 miles on the odo from test rides. Couldn't reach a meeting of the minds, though. Went to my favorite dealer (they didn't have a manual at the time) and ordered the one I'm waiting for now.

Ordered mine way before they were being built and took possession of it without ever taking it for a test drive. I knew I wanted one so no point in test driving it.

The local dealership let the wife and I takeout a black GT stick.
I already knew I wanted one, so it wasn't "necessary" for our decision. But after that test drive...
Life has not been the same since.
They recently sold it. If I ever run into the buyer I'll tell him how fun the test drive was. B)

I test drove, the car I ordered in May, when it showed up. Actually, my dealer gave me the keys while he got some paperwork together. That's it!
I got to put a bit over 40 miles on a black auto GT over Thanksgiving. Not only did the salesman toss me the keys, he gave me a gas ticket so I could fill it up first. That was a fun test drive.
Strangely enough, I wasn't in the market for a new car before the test drive...

Our dealer let us (wife and I) drive a new V-6 premium automatic with 3.5 miles
on it...this sold us on the new chassis etc....
Then we drove a left-over new 04 GT with manual...this sold us on the manual...
So we ordered today!

I test drove a red V6 first, then drove a white 05 GT Manual. On the GT test drive we ran out of gas and had to coast into a Toyota dealers lot.
They would not give us any gas so the salesman had to call the Ford dealer and have some brought over to us. My GT test drive lasted 2 miles but that was enough to confirm I wanted the V8.
:drive: After we got gas the guy felt bad so he let my wife take it out on the freeway.
