While out to lunch, I got to see a white 05 GT. I noticed it just in time to see (and hear) the driver give it some gas to accelerate thought an intersection. What a beautiful sound! Makes the wait all the harder. Got me thinking... how many of you got to test drive a GT before you put your order in?

I'll admit... I have yet to drive an 05 GT. At the time I ordered, no dealers had a GT to drive. About year ago I test drove a 03 Mach 1 and loved it! However, I saw the 05 concept and decided to wait. I was able to drive an 05 V6 before I odered and was very impressed. It didn't have the kick the Mach did, but I'm sure the GT will not let me down.

So I'm curious, am I the only one with an order in who has yet to drive the model they ordered? :scratch:

I ordered (ok, my wife did) without even seeing one in person. I finally sat in one last Monday. Still haven't had the oppurtunity to drive one. I just know it is the one.

I have not driven an '05 yet. However, I will test drive the car before siging the paperwork on it.

I have wanted one since I saw the concept.

My dealer had an '05 GT in automatic avail to test-drive. Salesman tossed me the keys and said, "Have fun!". And it was.. :yes:

I test drove before ordering. I actually specifically wanted to test a GT auto which took alot of inventory searching before I found one.

No, the only '05 Mustang GT that I have driven is the one I own. I did get to drive my mother-in-law's '05 V6 before mine was delivered.

Didn't test drive before I ordered, but got to drive a GT and V6 before I actually took delivery. Gotta love those racing events.

Didn't test drive before I placed my order back in June but I did get to test drive one before recieving delivery of my car. That only made me more impatient to get mine.

Dealer gave me a stingy test drive. He told me just around the block of the dealership. That was all I needed. :drive:

I was able to see one in the showroom in Novemeber, but couldn't drive it. I went back a week later and they had two GT's sitting outside. The salesman accompanied me on the test drive, but was good about lettling me stretch her legs a little.

We sat down, put the sale in writing, then he threw me the keys.
I had my nephew with me. Little bugger wanted me to rape the car lmao.
i didnt have the heart to.
A week later i had to go back to my salesman for another toot. this time with the wife. I think we are due for another test drive. Car comes in April ,so a test per month should tie us over.

I got to test drive an 05 GT manual. As soon as I got back to the dealership, I was in his cube writing up an order.

Test drove an Auto GT after I placed my order. Didn't need to buy I figured I was there anyway. Might try to test drive a manual if I have time in the next week or so.

That's exactly what I am afraid of!

I plan on taking her for a spin before I sign the papers... I have no doubts I'll love the car... I've known it's the one for me since the concept... but I guess I gotta make sure all the parts are in working order to put my mind at ease.
