I'll be 45 in Dec. First car was a '68 Torino GT followed by a '69 Mustang GT Sportsroof w/ Ram-air 428 CJ (in '77 it was just an 8 yo used car), followed by several "get me to work" cars after getting broadsided by a lady in her new Mercedes . '69 Coupe, '85 LX 5.0, '65 Coupe, '69 "M" code Sportsroof, '96 Mystic Cobra, '81 Cobra and a '71 "M" code Mach 1. Maybe next year I'll get an '06 SE as long as I don't have to get rid of my '71. (My wife says I have to many toys? ) Dang, I never relized how many Mustangs I've owned over the years.

Thanks for the thread that has brought back ALOT of good memories.

Paul

the camaro may have been created in response to the mustang's popularity, but it was one heck of a competitor. for many years, camaro's power exceeded that of the mustang's. and the styling wasnt that bad at the beginning. you may not like it, but in my opinion, the car deserves some respect. dont make it the rodney dangerfield of automobiles
Where's the Respect?
Coming from one who had to drive one or walk.......NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! I did a jig the day they quit makin them.
I for the record, was very NON Camaro driver type, and I didn't like being the nice girl driving White trash barbies dream car. That's back when people didn't get brand new cars for turning 16, and I had to get a job to pay for it too. The ONE good thing I can say, is the way the back was made, the stereo in it kicked. Everything else- UGH.

And yes, I am 31 and JUST NOW getting all my other goals out so I can get my dream car finally- to put a WANT in front of a NEED! WHOOOOOO-HOO! [/b][/quote]

So much Camaro bashing... Yeah we're the unrefined one's, attacking a dead enemy. :notnice:

Anyway I'm sure some of our forum members will realize whats so great about Camaros when ten year old one's (like mine) are walking past your stock GTs on the freeway.

But go buy your stangs, so history can repeat itself in a short four years we can be reborn... Owning you.

Talking

In response to the mullet-head praising the Camaro's power, I'll quote one of my own posts from much earlier in this thread...

Horsepower...

... and that's about it.
Just kidding about the mullet, btw... I'm sure your uncle Jim-Bob Henry Jed found a more modern hair style for ya by now. After all, you are posting on a Mustang forum...
