John,

I saw the C stripes pics on your cardomain page. The car looks awesome. Do I see 18 inch chrome bullits in your future....

18" Mach 1 or Magnum 500 knock offs for sure. Saving the dough as we speak. Figure I can afford the tires/wheels/springs by December.

I dealt with Crystal Ford as they had what I wanted on the lot (I really did not want to wait if possible especially because I was buying a V6) and they were willing to go below MSRP. The internet sales guy was great but the sales manager was a bit of a putz ("let's hurry this along and finish it up" when we were trying to decide if we liked a second car we saw there over the first we came in for). He almost hurried himself out of a sale. :nono: Watch out for the finance dept though. We almost walked out without my car due to some crap they tried to pull... Guess they thought they were dealing with stupid people... :bang:

The sales manager was more than a putz. He is the main reason I didn't buy from them. Like I said before, he basically laughed in my face. The Internet guy, if it's still the same one that I dealt with, was cool. A little to pushy, but cool. He wanted to try to work with me. If it weren't for the sales manager, I would send people to him. But I I don't want that jerk to get any money from anyone I know.

It's strange how two people will get completely different results from the same dealer. The internet sales manager @ Hill & Sanders, Ed Giddings, called me back within minutes of placing an internet quote request on cars.com and we struck a deal over the phone pronto. Three hours later a Silver GT is in my driveway. They treated me like a long time customer and have even remembered my name when I have stopped in on occasion. On a cold day in January, they rolled their only GT out of the showroom for me to test drive and then sold to me @ MRSP without a struggle when everyone else was marked up at least $2K over.
At the same time, I had an alleged "connection" at Crystal Ford and got the brush off from them. Weird.........

I have been talking with Ed and Tom Comfort there at Hill and Sanders (Lindsay Ford of Wheaton...) the last couple of days. Tom actually called me and we talked for a bit. He said that he had a few GT's coming in that match my criteria in everything except color. So if anyone is looking for Vista Blue, Black or WV Blue - give him a call.
Tom is going to let me come in and drive one and maybe try to switch with another dealership that has my color so I could get my car faster. He said he'd try to get it to me at MSRP. We'll see...
