Dealer Visit

Since my '07 was produced this past Friday (6/16/06) and I won't be getting it for a couple more weeks, I decided to make a visit to my dealers lot just to look around. They had 26 '06 Mustangs with 17 of them GTs. There were 12 manual transmision vehicles (9 GT/3 v6). All were between $2000 and $3300 BELOW MSRP. Of these cars, I could only find 4 that I'm sure were on the lot two weeks ago so they move them pretty quickly.

Two of the GTs and two of the v6s had Eibach suspension kits, Shelby wheels and painted stripes. One GT had the FRPP power packs and handling kits. The salesperson that I speak with when my cousin isn't there said all of the dealer installed equipment would be covered under the factory warranty.

Also learned that it still looks like my GT will arrive on the same truck as their first GT500.

Congrats on the new pony arriving soon and welcome to the Vista Blue stable Chip. Now, do us a favor, when your car comes in post some shots of your baby, especially shots of the Premier Trim Package, as I can't wait to see what the top of the dashboard looks like. And if you could, could you post some shots of their Shelby that they get in too. Thanks in advance.

Already have the camera ready. If mine does come in with the GT500, I hope to get a few side by side shots. I'll be sure to get shots of the premier interior pkg as well as the heated seat switches.

Congrats, that would be very cool to get some pics of your car with the Shelby still on the trailer!

Also found out that the last Ford GT (Tungsten w/ silver stripes) that they will be receiving, orginally scheduled to be delivered at the end of May then June 9, will now be delivered the last week of June (~29th). How cool would it be for the last GT, the first GT500 and my car to all be on the same truck? Is the Ford GT even loaded on a regular truck? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

They usually don't ship them on a regular truck. Good luck though!

Figures...I wouldn't ship it on a regular truck either. Maybe I'll luck out and at least be able to get a few pics with the three together.
